Schedule

I'm sure a few of you are curious about my schedule while i'm at work. When i work nights, i work from 5pm to 5am. I actually enjoy working nights because It gives me more time off of work during the day. I usually go to bed around 6am, and then rise around 12:45. After i wake up i usually check the email, then go to the gym on the weekdays, then on the weekends i try to either fly for a few hours, or do something around the house till work. We have an oven, microwave, sink, dishwasher fridge etc. out at work so we usually cook dinner out there as a group on the weekends, and usually many days during the week. Ive included a picture a friend took of a friend and i flying by randy's house. This is one of my favorite pictures. have a great day.

Good Friends

Bryon Sharenberg, a good friend from college and his fiance Samantha came down to visit from Anchorage where Bryon was up working on Anchorages summer project, now that he is done training the students he and sam have time off to travel around a little bit. They came down and we attempted to do a little fishing, sam hooked into a couple but the fish got the best of us. The weather was terrible with rain the whole time they were here so that was a bummer. It was so good to see them and it reminded me that i need to be better about calling friends and keeping up. It is hard living in alaska to see everyone every few years, but i have realized i need to make a greater effort to travel out of the state more not just to see friends, but to stay grounded. Another rainy day today and i head back to work tonight. Hope everyone is well,

Skyline and sun

Woke up too late for church, so i went up skyline today, it was a super nice day up there, really warm and not much wind. There were a few other people up, but mostly locals. People are all headed out of town back to anchorage and the valley tonight for the upcoming work week. It was windy on the flatland today so i didnt do any flying so i worked on the shed roof today that i have been working on for about 3 summers, maybe i'll finish it this summer..... A good friend is coming down tomorrow with his new fiance, i don't think i've seen him in about seven years so that will be cool. The garden is doing good, the radishes are really resilient and grow great up here, as do the onions and potatoes.

Great weather and better flying

We had a beautiful day today, woke up early and went over to Devito's strip on the Kustatan. Caught one silver, but they were in strong lower on the river. Should be pushing up river over the next weeks. The peninsula is packed with fishermen/dipnetters now so it's nice to get across the inlet away from everyone. Saw a bunch of bears and a porcupine that ill put up a picture of.

Rainy day

Today is my first day off after working a few days of overtime on a sulfur project at work. It's been really rainy the last few days so i havn't been able to fly much, but soon enough. The reds are in, and the silvers are in across the inlet. Lazy day today.
